Do you know how people in vanni make their living....

Recently, I had called Mannar to understand the conditions of my two aunts who were trapped in Vanni Area.

When SLAF (SriLankan AirForce) bombed a convent,which was in news few months back, in the same convent where my two NUN aunts were living along with another NUN. While my two aunts were unhurt by the bombing, the other nun was injured.

So past 3 months they went into hiding from bunker to bunker in vanni jungle. On 03-Mar-2009, one of my aunts conditions worsened hence was taken by ICRC to triconomalee then hospitalized in Mannar (one of my other aunt had met her in hospital). After being there for one week, now she is taken to Vavuniya Camp...now no more contact with her.

Meanwhile, another nun aunt of mine still trapped in vanni. she is waiting to be evacuated by ICRC. hopeful that she would be living and leaving vanni soon.

Conditions in vanni is much worse than what you see in this clip....
